If you haven't tried downloading audiobooks or ebooks through the library (for
free!), we've scheduled a Downloadable Workshop, just in time for summer vacations
and travels:
Saturday, June 23
9 - 10:15 am - Kindles
10:30 - 12 - Apple devices (audiobooks and ebooks)
If you have other devices (a Nook, Sony reader, etc.) and you need help, let
us know.
Keep in mind that using these online services is just like going to the
library ----
the ebook or audiobook you want (especially if it's a new, popular title)
may already be checked out  ------ but you can get on a waiting list.

If you're traveling this summer, or just want to learn a new language, try
another free online service through the library: the MANGO foreign language program. You can go to our website:   www.straffordlibrary.org
and follow a link to MANGO, establish an account (you'll need your library
barcode #) and start learning! They offer about 30 different languages. It's also a
great way for students to practice over the summer.

Once again, part of our children's summer programming includes our "Reading
Logs":
kids can stop in anytime and start a summer reading log, to keep track of the
books they read over the summer. The reading logs are upstairs in the loft, and we'll
keep them here at the library. Every time you stop in, remember to write down the titles of the books you've read.
