We have a busy week at the library:
Monday, 6:30pm: PAJAMA STORYTIME ! Young children are welcome to wear their PJ's to our evening storytime for a read-aloud, an activity and a snack.

Thursday, 1pm: Reading Group discusses Raymond Chandler's "The Long Goodbye". Everyone is welcome.

Children are welcome to stop in anytime and start a Summer Reading Log.

In the last post about the passes the library has to local attractions, we forgot to mention one of our most popular passes: Billings Farm Museum, in Woodstock.

AND, MOST IMPORTANT:
THE ANNUAL BOOK SALE STARTS THIS FRIDAY, 5 - 7pm and continues on Saturday, 10 - 2 pm.
Stop at the book sale, then wander over to the Homestead art show and "mini" sale.
Or start at the Homestead, and take a tour of the house -------
OUR NEWLY CLEANED AND RESTORED PORTRAIT OF SENATOR MORRILL WILL BE ON DISPLAY !!!

The sale is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever! Besides the usual fiction (including mysteries & sci fi), children's books, cookbooks, gardening and crafts, etc., etc., topics well represented include:  poetry, religion and philosophy, current events, sociology, psychology.
(donations for the sale are being accepted through Wednesday).
Thanks to the many people who help make this sale amazing ---- hours of sorting, lugging heavy boxes around, setting up, donating and buying books!
This is a major fundraiser for the library and we appreciate your support.
During the sale, the library will be closed for regular business, and will stay closed on Monday, July 4th.
