For the children who participated in our "Summer Reading Log" program, we have
rescheduled the celebration for Saturday, Sept. 10 (a week from tomorrow)
at 9am, to honor all of them. We are delighted to report that 25 kids
participated (new kindergartners to 6th graders) and read a total of 213 books!
We are amazed and proud of them ------ we hope they will all come by the
library on Sept. 10th for our short celebration. The Friends of the Morrill
Library were so impressed with the program, they have come up with a special
surprise.

If you have any library books, DVD's, CD's or magazines that happened to get
damaged due to recent flooding, please just let us know. The library was very
fortunate to have had minimal water in the basement, with just a few damaged
books, old rugs/mats and some papers.
Once again, if you have sustained damage due to Irene, you may want to check
out this website:

Take the Pre-Screening Questionnaire to see if you qualify for government
assistance as well as apply for government assistance at this website.
The library will be closed Monday, Sept. 5 ----- we hope everyone who has
been working so hard this week gets a chance to rest.
