Bring your i-toy (i-pad, i-pod, i-touch, etc) and Kasaundra will show us
how to use the free audiobook and e-book downloadable services from the library.

Library Notes--1/28/2013

Friday is February 1st, so that means it's First Friday Storytime.
10 am at the library. All preschoolers welcome.

Thursday, the reading group meets at 1 pm to discuss "Flaubert's Parrot" by Julian Barnes.

Sunday, February 10, we welcome Strafford's Dori Wolfe, reading from her new book
"Only Hope: a True-Life Novel". Many of us are familiar with Dori and her work on the Strafford Energy Committee, 
as co-founder of groSolar and her current business Wolfe Energy. Come and hear another side to Dori...

SUNDAY:    4 pm
The library is hosting Ginger Wallis, reading from her book
"A Gentle and Curious Path: Through Cancer to Points Unknown".
Ginger is a Thetford resident and middle school science teacher. 
Her book is an intimate window into her thoughts, emotions and experiences going from
cancer patient to cancer survivor, filled with openness, humor, natural history, biology and wisdom.
Books will be available for sale and refreshments served.

Please join us this Sunday, Jan. 20th at 4 pm, to welcome Ginger Wallis.
Ginger, a Thetford resident, will be reading from her new book, "A Gentle and Curious Path: Through Cancer to Points Unknown".
Ginger's story is one of openness, challenges, humor, confusion, information, and joy.  Natural history is woven throughout the book from her daily (well, almost daily) walks and from her background teaching environmental education and middle school biology.

Library Notes--1/3/2013

This Friday (tomorrow!) - "First Friday" Storytime at 10 am.
All preschoolers are welcome to join in.

You may have noticed three local books featured on the front page of the January Strafford News.
The library hopes to finish cataloging all three books into our collection this week, so they will be available to borrow.
We are planning to host a reading by Dori Wolfe for her book "Only Hope: a True-Life Novel"...... we'll keep you
