  • Assign a secretary to take notes – Lynch

  • Approve minutes from July meeting.  Moved Newman, seconded Wilson, approved all.


Librarian’s Report

  • No Thursday story time due to Nursery staff shortage.

  • Melissa thanked SFD for another enjoyable Fire Truck Night.

  • Weekly postings - Nice job on recent message!  In the interest of keeping weekly postings interesting, Miriam suggests to try publishing twice monthly (with exceptions as appropriate)

  • Summer Programs -, ArtBus earliest availability in Sept.  Maybe Brooke Wilkinson music and Gina Somme origami

  • Adult programs – Oct. 20 John de Graff – God bless America, Cindy S. - Palace, Libby, Biblio, family programs for Origami, ChatGPT.  Donna and Peter Hahn on birding.

  • Ordering for collection – Juvenile order has been submitted, half of which are back-ordered.  Another round of Juvenile and Adult carts underway for Sept.

  • Regular meetings during off hours include: SCT, Ashley, Friends, SCN, Fiber Arts.

Treasurer’s Report 

  • P/L on target YtY adjusted for inflation. 

  • Turrell grant rec’d.  

  • Still expecting 990 billing

Other Business

  • Architect proposal - received.  Reviewing on 13-Aug at noon.

  • Website update - Kevin prioritizing remaining work. When webdev James Taylor returns from vacation, he will contact Kevin to schedule resumption of work.

  • Kevin needs any / all photographs (interior, exterior, busy, empty, night, day)

  • Kevin weeding metal filing cabinet in basement

  • Levi Smith - Cabin Fever on moths!
