Summer Reading 2023

All Together Now!



Welcome to Summer Reading 2023! All programs will be held on Monday evenings at 6:30 on the library lawn, except for Firetruck Night, which will be held on the Town Green.


Monday, July 17th, 6:30pm: Fluting with the Birds! Join special guest Nick for an interactive flute  concert on the library lawn. He’ll show us how he can make his flute sound like different animals, provide musical accompaniment to a story, and play some beautiful music!


Monday, July 24th, 6:30pm: Fire Truck Night Fire Truck Night is back! Wear your swimsuit, bring a towel and your family, and prepare to get wet! Thanks to the Strafford Volunteer Fire Department for spending their Monday evening with us!


Monday, July 31st, 6:30pm: Tales from the Heart Join special guest storyteller Michael Caduto for a program of interactive songs and stories. These traditional tales of friendship draw from a rich and exciting diversity of peoples from many lands, such as Tibet, Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East. 


Monday, August 14th, 6:30pm: Celebrate the End of Summer! Join us on the library lawn for team games, snacks, bubbles, and more good books!

If you have not yet set a reading goal and picked up a reading log, you may stop in to the library to get one. We will also be offering a weekly take and make craft for children. Looking forward to summer fun, all together now!
